Recommit to Your Fitness Journey!

We are well into 2018 and chances are that some of you have either been 110% dedicated to your fitness journey of consistently getting it done and being active, and the other half of you may have completely ditched your goals and haven’t attempted to get back on the road due to what ever your circumstances or excuses are.

But don’t be discouraged for falling off and failing, it's all part of the process - We ALL slip , fall and cry at some point in our journeys! The good news for those that have slipped - it's alright, the year is still young, and it’s never too late to start back on your fitness journey. Even if you have to start from step 1 again, stay inspired and focus on your end goals - with hard work, consistency, patience and dedication you’ll regain that momentum back (EFFORT IS ALWAYS REWARDED). At first, making any sort of change to your lifestyle, especially changes that involve the gym and health, can be intimidating to those who may be new to it or those who continue to fall off. Embrace and trust the process, once you start you’ll see it’s not that scary after all.

Start using these ''SOUL FIT'' tips to get back into the game:

  • Set a new goal: Reconsider your previous goals and adjust them to your current fitness level (set point). Be realistic, hold yourself accountable, and give yourself a challenge and set a goal for each month, it doesn’t have to be massive - just something doable and measureable.

  • Organise and Prepare Yourself: Lock yourself into some coaching sessions, Group fitness classes and utilise a daily planner, a planner will really help you schedule in your workouts. This really holds you accountable and makes fitness a priority.

  • Grab a Training Partner: bring a friend who will hold you accountable during your workout and hold you to a set schedule - you’ll enjoy the company and encouragement. If you don't have a friend - join 'Soul Fit', we have heaps of positive and empowering people that will help you.

  • Rest: Make sure you are still getting the proper amounts of sleep you need so you’ll have the energy and fuel to continue your workout routine - Get off those video games and get to sleep! When you're too tired- your less likely to get up and workout.

  • Better Food Choices: Aim to trade in those bad meals for fresh and healthier options. Create some positive momentum for yourself in the kitchen again.

Take home note - Stay committed, don’t give up, pick yourself up and trust the process- REMEMBER, Effort Is Always Rewarded!!!

All the best.
