MAKING THOSE FIRST STEPS

Finding the right lifestyle for YOU is something only YOU can answer- it sounds so simple right? Unfortunately it can be alot difficult than you think, especially when you dont have much knowledge on health & fitness, there is so many barriers that can point you in the wrong direction and draw you away from actually knowing what is the 'right lifestyle for you'. I'm about to share with you some SFTM tips and things to look out for in this latest blog.

DONT LISTEN TO ANYONE UNTIL YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED IT FOR YOURSELF:

What I mean by this heading is, we often assume we like something because someone (friends, fitness professionals, athletes, magazines, etc) say we have to do it this way---- WRONG, it is a load of BS, they dont know what is good for YOU!! In terms of finding what is a great form of exercise for you, I suggest you go out and experiment/experience this for yourself, there is options such as;

- Joining a gym and doing specific group fitness classes.

- Joining a Bootcamp specific to your fitness level.

- Daily walking.

- Yoga & Pilates classes.

- Bushwalking.

- Bike riding.

- Join a sporting team.

- or Personal Training (I suggest you leave this as your last option until you figure the others out for yourself).

HOW WILL YOU KNOW IF IT IS GOOD OR BAD FOR YOU:

You will know it is good for you because you will 'ENJOY' it- dont get caught up in statements from others like 'You have to train harder or do this class because it will challenge YOU'. All you need to worry about for now is- JUST DO SOMETHING YOU ENJOY DOING, not because it is going to get you results, bla bla blaa BS, just do it because you enjoy doing it.

THE RIGHT NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM FOR YOU:

Dont look at trying to drop your calories, or complicate shit with macro talk-- we all know what is good and bad for us right?? Eat more natural/fresh foods and stay away from the takeaway foods/bad food groups/and the magic labelled shit. I'm not going to go indepth with the nutritional stuff, just like I did with the training talk- this shit doesn't have to be complicated for you right now.

BUILD YOUR FOUNDATION & CONFIDENCE:

If you are wondering why there isn't more, its because you have to find yourself a baseline/foundation to work off before you try and attempt all of the other training & nutritional programs that is out there flying around in the industry. One of the biggest reasons we fail over and over again is because we haven't given ourselves the time and effort to develope this foundation- we just jump straight up and rush straight into all of the difficult shit-- it does work, but guess what, you will hit that shitty wall and next thing you know you are sitting down on YOUR ASS feeling sorry for yourself.

HOW LONG WILL YOU DO THIS FOR?

Experiment with these tips for 12-24month months, yes 1-2 f#cking YEARS. If you can do the above information consistently for 1-2 years, you will be on the path the right path. 1-2 years may sound like alot, but how many years have you already wasted by doing nothing or failing at the same shit over and over again? EXACTLY!! Also, if you are truely in this journey to change, it is going to be your life-time commitment, not a 6-8-10-12 week program.

DIARY:

Before you go on this journey, get yourself a journal and track your progress by thoughts, feelings, how long it takes you to walk to a certain place, how you feel after exercising, what changes you are noticing, monitor your body measurments, etc.

RESULTS:

The only result I am selling you is---- GET OFF YOUR ASS AND TRY THIS INFORMATION AND SEE WHERE IT GETS YOU!! Guess what??? Its for free, you dont have to pay me or any other professional out there.

I hope you find this SFTM blog useful. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a buzz via email or the facebook page 'Jay SoulFit'.

kind regards

SFTM
